Meet the Teachers

Ms Julie

Ms Julie

Headteacher

I am very proud to have been the  headteacher of Hua Hin International School since our opening in 2015. We have had an amazing journey and the school continues to flourish.  We swiftly gained our  silver accreditation award in 2018 from the British EDT inspectors,  became  a Cambridge School and international  exam centre and now we are recognised as a  World IB School.  These have all been notable achievements along the way  but it is the enthusiasm, zest for learning and ‘spark’  of our students that lift my days.   The recent challenges of the global pandemic  have led to an even greater appreciation of the strong support and commitment to our school by staff, parents, Directors and the wider school community.

My previous experiences include being a Headteacher both  internationally and in England.  I was also Assistant Dean and Principal Lecturer at Plymouth Marjon University.

My qualifications include: Masters in Education, BA (Hons), PGCE, QTS, DIp Ed (Higher)  and the UK qualification for headteachers, NPQH. My teaching career has been across all age groups; I have taught nursery age, all ages at the Primary stage, English to secondary students and also  taught trainee teachers at the university.

My personal interests are centred around sport and being in the outdoors so obviously, Hua Hin is just a perfect place for me!

Beyond school, my ideal day would begin with gruelling exercise, followed by reading a good book in the sun with some delicious Thai food. I’d then explore a new place not previously visited, and finish off the day with a video call to my family & friends back in England.

Ms Faye

Wellbeing Coordinator

Am super excited to be joining HHIS in the new role as a Wellbeing Co-ordinator this year. I graduated From The University of Plymouth in 2000, working as a Visual Arts teacher and Head of Art for over 20 years in the UK, Germany, Dubai and Thailand.

During my teaching career, I have always been enthusiastic and passionate about the wellbeing of students in my care.

I respect and understand that the developmental, emotional, social and educational issues affecting young people and their learning journey is of primary importance. This prompted me to gain experience and qualifications in a range of wellbeing modalities including Personal training, Sports Therapy, Clean Language Therapy, Japanese Integrated Medicine and recently, Person centred Counselling.

I am delighted to share my skills and experience to support and inspire others to put their wellbeing back on track and facilitate positive change.

Science Technician And Secondary Learning Support

I am delighted to be joining the HHIS team in 2022. I graduate from Leeds Beckett University with a degree in law in 2020. I then went on to complete a Master or Laws, Legal Practice Course. Although I come from a legal background, I have always had a fervent passion and interest in science. Throughout my time studying, I volunteered many times at schools in the UK and I very much look forward to being back in the classroom environment grow and helping the students of HHIS grow. In my free time, I love to play team sports, particularly football and rugby.
