HHIS Newsletter – September 30th 2019
Monday September 30th 2019
Parent/teacher meetings are taking place over the next two weeks. If you have had any difficulties at all logging in or getting an appointment please contact our Chief Information Officer, K Ked ( firstname.lastname@example.org ) for IT difficulties or your child’s class/form teacher for alternative arrangements. If you would like to request a Thai translator to be present please do let K Cheng know ( email@example.com ) and this will be organised for you.
These meetings provide opportunities for you to find out how your child is settling into their new year group and stage of learning. Teachers will also be sharing the next steps for your child.
Meeting with our Epicure Caterers
Thank you to all those parents who have indicated their attendance at the meeting on Friday October 4th at 10:30am in the canteen. We are looking forward to representatives from Epicure telling us all about the way they choose menus and accommodate our whole range of needs and tastes. Parents will be able to sample the foods that are offered at lunch times.

2 Fast and 2 Furious Swimming Competition
We wish our team of swimmers good luck for their swimming event at Harrow International School on Saturday October 5th.
Model United Nations Conference
We also wish our team of secondary students well as they will attend the MUN conference at Patana International School in Bangkok at the weekend. In these conferences students role play United Nations delegates and are given countries and topics to represent. They present their prepared speeches and take part in debate with students from other international schools. This is such a great experience for everyone.
KS1 keep fit!
Mr James Goyder, from Black Mountain Football Academy, kindly came into school to work with the KS1 children last week. The activities were linked to their topic about being ‘Fit and Active’. The children learnt what happens to their bodies when they exercise and learnt to understand the importance of exercise. A huge thanks to Mr James for giving the children this fun opportunity. Ms Hannah
KS2 children Visit
All the children in KS2 classes visited the ‘Shiva Centre’ last week. Here they took part in meditation and breathing exercises and also helped to make and of course, taste a range of Indian cuisine.
In the News
It was great to see two of our students, Mark and Bonnie in the news for their work as ‘Trash Heroes’ on the beaches of Hua Hin last weekend. Well done to you both and to all students who have given up their time to be ‘Trash Heroes’
Welcome to Baby Ivy
We extend congratulations to Ms Katie and Mr Matt on the safe arrival of their daughter, Ivy. What exciting news!
