We have a very exciting week ahead as we have our Sports’ Days this week.
The students have been honing their athletic skills in readiness. They will be putting in their full effort and showing us their agility, speed and fitness as well as having a lot of fun as they earn points for their teams.
The events will take place on the following days.
• Tuesday 12th March – EY starting from 9.00
• Wednesday 13th March – Year 4 – 6 starting from 8.40
• Thursday 14th March – Year 1 – 3 starting from 8.40
• Friday 15th March – Year 7 – 10 starting from 8.40
Please do come and give support.
On Thursday 14/3 the whole school will be celebrating Pi Day. As you will remember, Pi (π) is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter and 3 , 1 and 4 are the first three digits of Pi. Activities will range from making circle patterns to working on Pi (π) calculations to seeing how many digits of Pi (π) can be memorised.
Mr Fabian led a lively assembly this morning and it was great to see students from 3 years old to 16 years old buzzing about maths and Pi (π) day.

Hua Hin Rotary Club – Making our Planet a better Place.
We are very grateful to Brian Anderson and Hua Hin Rotary Club for visiting our school to further support the message to reduce our use of plastic. Brian gave a very lively and informative presentation to our KS2 students. It is such an important message and the talk gave us all reminders of what we can do every day to stop using so much plastic. The Rotary Club backed up their message with a practical gift – a shopping bag each for the children. It will be good to see these bags in use around Hua Hin. Every bag saved is one less bit of plastic that will remain as rubbish for the next 100 years or so.
News of further Opportunities for HHIS students
As a school our students are being offered more and more opportunties. Just this week students in next year’s Year 9,10 and 11 have been invited to take part in the planned first HHIS International Residential Study Visit. The visit is being organised in collaboration with ‘Starfish Adventure’. International study visits will take place on a 2 year cycle from now on. In the next two weeks students in Years 5 and 6 will be taking part in a 2 day Invitational Games Event. They will be participating in many different sports and will have the opportunity to compete with children from International schools within Thailand and Malaysia. Years 7 and 8 will be also going to the Theatre in Bangkok as part of their studies and Samakee Sports teams are coming for games and a sleepover. These are all wonderful opportunities that reflect our continued commitment to our ‘I Values’.
